Li Binglei, born in Raoyang County Hebei Province in 1966., and was taught by Mr. Wang Kui, a renowned successor to the inside painting art. Taking advanced studies in the Landscape Department of Tianjin Orient Art Academy in 1986, engaged as an inside painted technician by Beijing Fine Art Manufactory in 1988 and in 1995 establishing his own painting studieo, Crazy Painters Wigwam and has trained over 100 disciples for which he was appointed Great Master of Hebei Folk Industrial Art.
This monochromatic, Four Wangs-style 2 3/8" landscape bottle was painted by Li Binglei in 2004. They include a copy of "Clearing after Rain over Streams and Mountains", and the front titled "Ancient Temple in the Mountains" , both by Wang Hui (王翬, 1632-1717), one of the Four Wangs group.
The 'Four Wangs' (of the seventeenth century) style became the accepted orthodox Court landscape painting style during the Qing Dynasty. Thank you Joey !
Also learned the script on the bottle expresses the feeling of one who views the landscape, being awed by the grandeur of the mountain ( 南山 ）and the picturesque autumn colors ( 秋色 , literally saying both are equally awesome in sight. Thank you Inn Bok !
