This is one of the only few gemstone type bottles that I have. Yet holds the most special story behind it over all of the bottles in my collection. It was originally purchased from a Mongolian Elder who like many still practice the daily use of snuff, just outside of a small town in Mongolia. This was one of his personal bottles that he stored and shared snuff with others in.
It just sort of adds to the nastalgia of the bottle. I find it fascinating when I read about the different cultures that still practice this tradition.
Although sold to me under the impression that it is Turqoise, in fact I am almost positive it to be a dyed Howlite. Quite a common practice in China.
